Alloys shown are typical, valves are available in any weldable alloy. "Carbon Steel" refers to ASTM A-36 Commercial Grade Carbon Steel. On request, ASTM A-516 Pressure Vessel Grade Carbon Steel can be furnished.

Alloy Trim:
Carbon steel body with alloy seat, gate and stem. (Note: On bonnetless knife gate valves, the stem will be 304 SS, regardless of trim material, unless otherwise specified.)
  CS/304: Carbon steel body with 304SS trim
  CS/M: Carbon steel body with Monel® trim
Alloy Wetted Parts:
All wetted parts are alloy material; external flanges and stiffeners are carbon steel.
  T304: 304 55 wetted parts with carbon steel flanges and stiffeners
  A20: Alloy 20 wetted parts with carbon steel flanges and stiffeners
Solid Alloy:
Solid alloy construction, except for handwheel and stem nut assembly.
  ST3l6: Solid 316 SS construction

Stellite® Hardsurfacing:
For abrasive service, or to prevent galling, Stellite® hardsurfacing can be furnished.
  T3l6/S: 316 SS wetted parts with partial Stellite® hardsurfacing. For moderately abrasive service - hardsurfacing on edge of seat, on leading edge of gate and on gate wedging surfaces.
  T316/FS: 316 SS wetted parts with full Stellite® hardsurfacing. For severe abrasive service - hardsurfacing in inlet and outlet ports of valve, on leading edge of gate and on gate wedging surfaces.

Packing
In keeping with the current concern regarding the use of asbestos products, we have available a large assortment of non-asbestos packings, including the following:

Waxed Flax - general oil and water service, to 150oF.

TFE/Synthetic Fiber - mild acids and alkalis, to 500oF.

TFE/Keviar® - abrasive slurries or strong chemicals, to 500oF.

Pure TFE - food service or severe chemicals, to 500oF.

Inconel/Fiberglass - high temperature service, to 1000oF.

Braided Ceramic - high temperature service to 2000oF.
Resilient Seal Materials
Available in a wide variety of elastomers, including the following:

Buna N - general oil and water service. to 2500F.

Neoprene - general service, including a broad range of chemicals, to 250oF.

White Neoprene - used to prevent color contamination, to 2500F.

TFE - food service or severe chemicals, to 500oF

Viton® - wide range of chemicals or high temperature service, to 400oF.

Polyurethane - abrasive service, to 200oF; not suitable for acids, ketones and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Ethylene Propylene (EPR) - water, oil and certain phosphate ester based fluids, to 250oF; not suitable for petroleum lubricants and solvents.
Pressure Ratings
Standard 2" thru 24": 150# CWP (Cold Working Pressure)
Above 24": 50# CWP. Other pressure ratings are available, including ANSI and API.
